Pumpkin Carving Party

This past Saturday we attended the annual Pumpkin Carving party at Gayle's house down the street. There was tons of good food to eat - mostly pumpkin themed pies and cakes, but also hot caramel apple cider - yum!! Summer slept during the carving, but we got a picture of her with her pumpkin before that happened! (note the bonnet knitted by my grandmother, Virginia Hanson). There are also some pics of Ken and the kids having fun carving. Rachel and I had the idea of making a scarecrow and you can see my goofy kids posing with that and also see the carved pumpkins. We lit them up that night and the kids really like it. Halloween pictures will follow shortly, but I'm going to go and try to read a bit before bed.
