These are pics from our trip to the zoo today. It was unseasonably warm for March! We went to the Africa half of the zoo first. At the giraffe exhibit Aaron said he could tell both giraffe's were boys... because neither one had eyelashes!! The zoo was beautiful, but lots of walking between exhibits. There was lots of grumbling and complaining ... and the kids were unhappy too! (ha ha ha). This was day 2 of our mini vacation. Yesterday we went to a nice little park about an hour away from home. There was a carousel ride and a train ride, and we also mined for gems!! I found some emerald and garnet. We stayed at a hotel last night and did the zoo today. We are finally home and VERY tired. I miss the zoo in our town! We would go all the time - the pictures remind me of our family's zoo trips when the three of them were a little smaller :-)
