Spring Break!

Well, it's almost over, but Spring Break has been fun. We started out with a trip up to Ohio. Ken was able to do some work up there (visiting some companies) so the kids and I spent the days visiting our friends. Ken joined us for dinner during the evenings. We all laughed and talked together just like old times. Wish we could have stayed longer, but Ken had to get back to work down here.
On Thursday, Jan arrived (Ken's Mom). We had some fun coloring eggs and going shopping. On Easter morning the kids searched for their Easter baskets. Rachel's was under the kitchen sink, Aaron's was in the filing cabinet, and Summer's was in her high chair. After church we went to Arby's for a quick lunch. Grandma (Jan) gave the kids their Easter treats from her and then we all took naps. As we were waiting for our ham and potatoes to get done, we went for an Easter egg hunt throughout the yard. Summer knew just what to do!
Dinner was yummy, and after we forced Aaron to try one bite of potato, we had some chocolate. We took a quick walk around the block. It's was a cold 52 here this Easter. We watched some video from last Easter and we were all wearing shorts!! Oh well.
So, today is the last day of Spring Break. Ken is back at work, but the rest of us went to the mall. Rachel used up her Build A Bear gift certificate from Aunt Beth and bought another outfit for her frog, Fred. She had some extra Build A Bear Bucks from her birthday party and she bought him shoes, roller blades, and of course a helmet and knee pads!! We played at the indoor play area, had some Auntie Anne's pretzels, did a few errands, and headed home. Time to put Summer down for a nap!
